In the name of the Father...

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
the love of God and the communion
of the Holy Spirit be with you all

People: And with your spirit

Celebrant: Let us pray

All that You have done to us Lord
You have done in true judgement

for we have sinned and disobeyed Your
commandments

We pray that that You grant your servants
pardon and peace that being cleansed

from the guilt of our offenses
we may serve you with secure minds.

Exam of Conscience - Confession of Sin

Please kneel or be seated

Celebrant: Please kneel or be seated if you are unable.

Celebrant: As we prepare
to celebrate the mystery of Christ’s love
let us acknowledge our sins
and ask the Lord for pardon and strength

Together, we pray…

People: Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against You
in thought, word, and deed

by what we have done
and by what we have left undone

We have not loved You with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves

We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.

For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ
have mercy on us and forgive us

that we may delight in Your will
and walk in Your ways
to the glory of Your Name

Amen.

Celebrant: May almighty God have mercy on us
+ forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life

People: Amen

Infilling of the Holy Spirit

Please come forward

Celebrant: And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven
like a rushing mighty wind
and it filled all the house

And there appeared tongues of fire
and it sat upon each one of them
And they were ALL filled with the Holy Spirit

For this is that which was spoken
by the prophet Joel

And it SHALL come to pass
in the last days, saith God

that I will pour out of my Spirit
upon all flesh
and your sons and daughters shall phophesy
and your young men shall see visions

and your old men shall dream dreams
And on my servants and on my handmaidens

I will pout out in those days, of my Spirit;
and they SHALL prophesy

And it shall come to pass
that whosoever call on the name
of the Lord shall be saved.

Praise and Worship

All Who Are Thirsty

All who are thirsty, all who are weak
come to the fountain dip your heart in the stream of life
let the pain and the sorrow be washed away
in the wave of his mercy as deep cries out to deep ...we say

Come Lord Jesus, come

Living Hope

How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night

Then through the darkness Your loving kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished the end is written
Jesus Christ my Living Hope

Hallelujah praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me

You have broken every chain
there's salvation in Your Name
Jesus Christ my Living Hope

Who could imagine so great a mercy
What heart could fathom such boundless grace
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame

The cross has spoken I am forgiven
The King of Kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior I’m Yours forever
Jesus Christ my Living Hope

Hallelujah praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me

You have broken every chain
there's salvation in Your Name
Jesus Christ my Living Hope

Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me

Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Jesus Yours is the victory

Hallelujah praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me

You have broken every chain
there's salvation in Your Name
Jesus Christ my Living Hope

Thank You Lord

Baloche Paul Joseph / Moen Donald James

I come before You today
and there's just one thing
that I want to say
Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord

For all You've given to me,
for all the blessings that I cannot see
Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord

With a grateful heart, with a song of praise
With an outstretched arm
I'll bless Your Name and

Thank You, Lord
I just want to thank You, Lord

For all You've done in my life,
You took my darkness
and gave me Your light
Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord

You took my sin and my shame,
You took my sickness and
healed all my pain
Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord

With a grateful heart, with a song of praise
With an outstretched arm
I'll bless Your Name and

Thank You, Lord
I just want to thank You, Lord

Thank You, Lord
I just want to thank You, Lord

Power in the Blood

Would you be free from the burden of sin
There's power in the blood, power in the blood
Would you oe'r evil a victory win
There's wonderful power in the blood

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb
Power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide
There’s wonderful power in the blood

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb
Power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

Would you do service for Jesus, your King
There's power in the blood, power in the blood
Would you live daily His praises to sing
There's wonderful power in the blood

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb
Power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb
Power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

Lord Have Mercy (Kyrie Eleison)

Jesus, I've forgotten
the words that You have spoken
Promises that burned within my heart
have now grown dim
With a doubting heart
I follow the paths of earthly wisdom
Forgive me for my unbelief
renew the fire again

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me

I have built an altar
where I worship things of man
I have taken journeys
that have drawn me far from You
Now I am returning
to Your mercies ever flowing
Pardon my transgressions
help me love You again

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me

I have longed to know You
and Your tender mercies
Like a river of forgiveness
ever flowing without end
I bow my heart before You
in the goodness of Your presence
Your grace forever shining
like a beacon in the night

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me

Reader: A reading from the book of Isaiah the 55th chapter

The Compassion of the Lord

People: Glory to You, Lord, God!

Isaiah 55:1-9

NIV

"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;
and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!

Come, buy wine and milk without money
and without cost.

Why spend money on what is not bread
and your labor on what does not satisfy?

Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

Give ear and come to me; hear me,
that your soul may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you

my faithful love promised to David.
See, I have made him a witness to the peoples
a leader and commander of the peoples.

Surely you will summon nations you know not
and nations that do not know you will hasten to you

because of the LORD your God
the Holy One of Israel

for he has endowed you with splendor."
Seek the LORD while he may be found

call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts

Let him turn to the LORD
and he will have mercy on him
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts
neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth
so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Epistle

New Testament Reading

Reader: The Epistle is from Saint Paul's letter to the Ephesians the 5th Chapter

Walk in Love

People: Praise be to the Lord!

Ephesians 5:15-21

NIV

Be very careful, then, how you live
not as unwise but as wise

making the most of every opportunity
because the days are evil.

Therefore do not be foolish
but understand what the Lord's will is

Do not get drunk on wine
which leads to debauchery
Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Speak to one another with psalms
hymns and spiritual songs

Sing and make music
in your heart to the Lord

always giving thanks to God
the Father for everything
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Gospel

Deacon: The Lord be with you

People: And with your spirit

Deacon: The Holy Gospel According to John

Jesus Heals an Officials Son

People: All Glory and praise to You,
Lord Jesus Christ

John 4:46-53

NIV

Once more he visited Cana in Galilee
where he had turned the water into wine

And there was a certain royal official
whose son lay sick at Capernaum

When this man heard that Jesus had arrived
in Galilee from Judea

he went to him and begged him to come
and heal his son, who was close to death.

"Unless you people see
miraculous signs and wonders,"
Jesus told him, "you will never believe."

The royal official said,
"Sir, come down before my child dies."

Jesus replied, "You may go.
Your son will live."

The man took Jesus at his word and departed.
While he was still on the way,
his servants met him with the news that his boy was living.

When he inquired as to the time
when his son got better

they said to him
"The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour."

Then the father realized
that this was the exact time
at which Jesus had said to him,

"Your son will live."
So he and all his household believed.

Homily

1 Corinthians 14:26

What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together,
everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation,
a tongue or an interpretation.

All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

HOMILY

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

Together let us pray:

Something good
is going to happen to us each day (Psalm 23:6)

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life

We are walking in Christ’s victory and holiness
(2 Corinthians 5:21)

We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus
We are one of His sheep and we know his voice

The mercy and grace of God is working in our life (Hebrews 4:16)

We come boldly to the throne of grace
so that we may obtain mercy and find grace
to help in time of need

The blessing of Abraham is working in us daily
(Galatians 3:14)

The blessing of Abraham has come upon us
in Christ Jesus so that we might receive
the promise of the Spirit through faith

We are healed by the stripes on Jesus’ back
(Isaiah 53:5)

He was wounded for our transgressions
He was bruised for our iniquities

The chastisement of our peace was upon Him
And with His stripes, we are healed

All of our prayers are in the process of being answered
(Matthew 21:22)

And all things, whatsoever we shall ask
in prayer believing, we shall receive

We are soul winners and are increasing
in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).

We shall freely receive the gifts and power
of the Holy Spirit each time He seeks us

As the Lord leads
we shall be a witness for Jesus in our homes

our families, our community
and everywhere we go

Let us pray our special intentions....

Passing of the Peace

Celebrant: The Holy Spirit whom the Father
has sent in the name of Jesus Christ
shall teach us ALL things

keeping the teachings of Jesus
fresh in our minds, and in our hearts

For Jesus said:
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you
not as the world gives, but real peace
that flows out of the Holy Spirit

Let not your heart be troubled
nor let your heart be afraid

Passing of the Peace

Celebrant: The peace of the Lord be with you always!

People: And also with you.

Celebrant: Let us offer each other a sign of peace.

The Lord's Prayer

the Lord's Prayer Contemp

Our Father in heaven
Hallowed be Your name

Your kingdom come
Your will be done

On earth, as in heaven

Give us today our daily bread

As we forgive those

Who sin against us

And deliver us from evil

For the kingdom the power and the glory
Are Yours, now and forever

Celebrant: Father, all powerful
and everliving God
we do well always and everywhere

to give You thanks
In You we live and move
and have our being

Each day You show us a Father’s love
Your Holy Spirit, dwelling within us
gives us on earth
the hope of unending joy

Your gift of the Spirit
who raised Jesus from the dead

is the foretaste and promise
of the paschal feast of heaven

With thankful praise, in company with the angels
we glorify the wonders of Your power
as we sing

Eucharistic Prayer

Celebrant: You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray

by sending down Your Spirit upon them like dewfall
so that they may become for us
the + Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ

Celebrant: Before He was given up to death
a death He freely accepted

He took bread and gave You thanks
He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said

TAKE, EAT: THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH IS GIVEN FOR YOU

DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

Celebrant: When supper was ended, He took the cup
Again He gave You thanks and praise

gave the cup to his disciples, and said:

DRINK THIS, ALL OF YOU
THIS IS MY BLOOD, OF THE NEW COVENANT

WHICH IS SHED FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS

WHENEVER YOU DRINK IT
DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

Together, let us proclaim the mystery of faith

CHRIST HAS DIED

CHRIST HAS RISEN

CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN

Celebrant: Through him, with him, and in him
O God almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit

all glory and honor is Yours, now and forever.
